
SONY: SOCOM 4
Sony picked Brothers By Choice to reinvigorate and modernize the iconic SOCOM video game franchise for the international launch of SOCOM 4. We redesigned the site from the ground up with a sophisticated military look and created a platform that puts the gamer in command with a set of innovative interactive tools.
Working in close collaboration with Sony’s marketing team and the game's developer Zipper Interactive, we brought player's in-game statistics, ranks and achievements out of the game, and created a series of data visualizations that inform players of their strengths and weaknesses, ultimately helping them become better players. Detailed stats are funneled into data visualizations and telemetry like weapon usage, kill / death ratio and favorite weapons. We even created a dynamic graphing tool to compare players against each other to foster a sense of competition.
The entire site architecture was closely evaluated and restructured so it can support the franchise’s previous game releases and thriving social community, while providing a marketing platform to generate excitement for the game features and updates. On this project I was responsible for site’s UX, design, client management and leading all the pitch work which led to the agency being awarded the account.
